This is the case of a 46-year-ald woman who had a gastric banding procedure 1,5 years before coming with symptoms of epigastric pain and vomiting. Upper GI endoscopy revealed the erosion of the band into the stomach.
This video shows the transgastric route to take out the band. Surgery may be difficult and a further bariatric procedure extremely hazardous.
