High Resolution Video Endoscopy
Examination of the inside of the stomach using an endoscope, passed through the mouth and esophagus, Upper GI endoscopy is a procedure performed by a gastroenterologist, a well-trained subspecialist who uses the endoscope to diagnose and, in some cases, treat problems of the upper digestive, Upper endoscopy lets your doctor examine the lining of the upper part of your gastrointestinal tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (first portion of the small intestine). Your doctor will use a thin, flexible tube called an endoscope, which has its own lens and light source, and will view the images on a video monitor. You might hear your doctor or other medical staff refer to upper endoscopy as upper GI endoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or panendoscopy.

Meniscus Like Material Transplantation (Bioengineering in the knee)
Orteq developed Actifit as a bioengineering solution. It is a new orthopedic biomaterial developed from our proprietary polymer. Actifit's inter-connected, porous composition is expected to encourage rapid ingrowth of blood vessels and fibrous tissue, which subsequently transforms into new, meniscus-like material.

Percutaneous Tracheostomy with Ambesh T-Trach Kit
Percutaneous tracheostomy is one of the most commonly performed bedside surgical procedures in critically sick patients. The indications of tracheostomy are: prolonged mechanical ventilation, isolation of airway, easier tracheo-bronchial toileting and oro-dental hygiene. A number of percutaneous tracheostomy kits are available. The latest addition is the 'Ambesh T-Trach Percutaneous Tracheostomy Kit' which is quite simple to use and economical. The contraindications are: age less than 16 yrs, distorted anatomy of neck, incorrectable coagulopathies, local sepsis and undefined anatomical landmarks.
Malabsorption Syndrome And Enzymes
This imbalance involves the impaired absorption of nutrients, vitamins and minerals by the lining of the small intestine. If the intestinal tract mucosa lining is impaired or there is some blockage to the flow of digested foods through the muscle walls, then absorption becomes a problem. Without the absorption of these nutrients, a domino effect can occur in the system and take many different forms of ill health. Therefore, cleansing and support of the intestinal tract and mucosal lining is imperative.
Some people prefer to use Systemic Enzymes to lowered their pain, instead of using aspirin, ibuprofen, celebrex, viox and the rest of the non steroidial anti inflammatory drugs because of the drug side affects. Another fact is as physicians in the US are now discovering, even old scar tissue can be "eaten away" from surgical wounds, pulmonary fibrosis, and kidney fibrosis even keloid years after their formation using it. There are still many health problems that can be cure using this system.

EndoShield DSEK Graft Injector
The EndoShield DSEK Graft Injector is a sterile disposable single use device designed to allow the safe injection of an 8 to 9 mm stromal-endothelial corneal graft for Descemet's stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) through a 3.2 mm or larger clear corneal incision. The graft thickness should be between 100 and 200 microns.
The injector is designed for one handed use by either a right or left handed surgeon. The package contains one injector body and two cartridges. The second cartridge is to be used as a spare. If the second cartridge is not used it should be disposed of along with the injector body and the first cartridge.
The EndoShield DSEK Graft Injector DSEK Graft Injector System may allow sutureless closure of a clear corneal wound of 3.2 to 4 mm in width. Corneal wound hydration with balanced salt solution may aid in achieving watertight closure. It is the responsibility of the surgeon to determine whether sutures will be necessary for secure closure.
Patient Disclosure:
As with any procedure, DSEK and the use of the EndoShield DSEK Graft Injector have benefits and risks. Prior to use, always review the benefits, risks, and alternatives with your patients.
